The Pennsylvania Freedom to Breastfeed Act was introduced by Pennsylvania State Senator Connie Williams (D-17th, Delaware and Montgomery) and signed into law by Governor Edward G. Rendell on July 8, 2007.

The Freedom to Breastfeed Act permits a mother to nurse her child in public; and provides that breastfeeding may not be considered a nuisance, indecent exposure, sexual conduct or obscenity.
